Baby Board Books & Indestructibles

In conjunction with my latest podcast, my sister & I talked baby reading.  And when we say "baby" we mean baby baby-- younger than 1 year or 12-month olds. So keep that in mind as you peruse this baby book list I compiled; it's specifically targeted for 0-12 months & the books may seem very basic, but that's because they are for newborn babies. I've never made a list like this yet, so I hope this one is helpful & points parents in the right direction as they start reading to their baby.

(This touchy-feely series is bound to be a favorite at your house for you AND baby! We love these books especially for teaching texture, or encouraging quiet time.)

4. Baby Let's Eat (Indestructible)

(These indestructibles are a *staple* for young readers; they can be ripped, chewed on, washed & they're pretty resilient or...indestructible! They also crinkle in little hands, which makes the sound many babies love. My babies' favorites have been the ones that feature baby faces.)

5. The Very Hungry Caterpillar: Let's Count On

(This wonderfully inviting baby book, is a crinkle page book & it mesmerized my son for months when he was a little baby.  It also counts up to 5, with items from the Hungry Caterpillar book on each page.)
