READING TIPS:
1. Kids need to learn to decode words first when learning to read. ("crack the code") 2.Let kids pick what they're interested in when it comes to reading. 3. Read widely! Gain volume once kids have learned to decode. 4. Read with your child, & if they're resistant, say things like: "Oh, my voice is tired-- can you read these words to me?" 5. Make different genre or book suggestions to your kids.
