We had a very special little being join our family this week & I have been focused on finding books that will help my kiddos make sense of their relationship with her. So, I wanted to share all these cute books about getting a new sibling & share some ideas & tips for how to make their relationship a sweet one! (A lot of new emotions & feelings may arise when a baby is brought home & books are an amazing way to introduce the concept & discuss any confusion or mixed emotions too. What books do you like to read when a new member is joining the family?)

SIBLING BOOKS:

1. I'm a Big Sister
by: Ronne Randall
(Ellie is so excited for her parents to bring home a baby sister; & she knows that they still love her lots too, even when the baby needs more attention.)

www.amazon.com/Im-Big-Sister-Ronne-Randall/dp/140545024X/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=i%27m+a+big+sister+book&qid=1640747643&sprefix=I%27m+a+big+s%2Caps%2C139&sr=8-4

2. A Baby Sister for Frances
by: Russell & Lillian Hoban
(Frances is feeling a little left out with the new baby; Mom & Dad don't seem to pay as much attention to her anymore. So Frances decides to run away...but not too far. She stays under the kitchen table, munching on snacks while she tries to decide the best way to interact with her parents once again.)

3. The New Baby
by: Mercer Meyer
(There are lots of things Little Critter can do to help his mom out when the new baby comes; rock her to sleep or help with diaper changes. This is a really good one for siblings who are transitioning to a new sibling joining the family after being an only child.)
www.amazon.com/New-Baby-Mercer-Mayer/dp/0307119424/ref=sr_1_1?crid=15ELXIBISK2H4&keywords=the+new+baby&qid=1640756505&sprefix=the+new+bab%2Caps%2C138&sr=8-1
